Le roi Philippe II voyageait avec sa famille et son entourage sur la route roulante entre Madrid et Saragosse lorsqu&rsquo;ils ont \u00e9t\u00e9 surpris par une forte chute de neige qui a recouvert la vue de la route et, se trouvant perdus au milieu de la temp\u00eate, ils ont mis leur vie en grand danger. Avec l&rsquo;arriv\u00e9e au pouvoir de Philippe V, une politique centralisatrice a \u00e9t\u00e9 mise en place, dans le cadre de laquelle les mandats de la l\u00e9gislation castillane ont \u00e9t\u00e9 appliqu\u00e9s sur le territoire aragonais. <\/p>\n<p>Sur la route N-623 (Portillo del Fresno, Burgos) et sur la CL-629 (La Mazorra, Burgos), il existe des pyl\u00f4nes de conception plus ou moins similaire qui subsistent sur les c\u00f4t\u00e9s de la route. Ces piliers \u00e9taient plac\u00e9s dans des zones d\u00e9pourvues de grands reliefs pouvant servir de point de rep\u00e8re au voyageur, et parfois \u00e0 de faibles d\u00e9nivellations. Elles ont \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 trouv\u00e9es dans les zones \u00e9lev\u00e9es de certains cols de montagne importants.  <\/p>\n<p>Ceux de Burgos sont associ\u00e9s \u00e0 des routes actuelles, h\u00e9riti\u00e8res d&rsquo;anciens chemins. Cependant, dans la province de Teruel, pr\u00e8s de 200 piliers de ma\u00e7onnerie (appel\u00e9s ici pyl\u00f4nes) se trouvent sur diff\u00e9rents tron\u00e7ons de cette route qui, plus qu&rsquo;une route au sens strict du terme, correspondait \u00e0 l&rsquo;itin\u00e9raire suivi par les muletiers, les commer\u00e7ants et les \u00e9leveurs pour les \u00e9changes entre les hauts plateaux de Cuenca et Teruel et la M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, en traversant le Maestrazgo. <\/p>\n<p>Il existe actuellement une s\u00e9rie de ces pyl\u00f4nes \u00e0 Corbal\u00e1n (col de Cabigordo, qui culmine \u00e0 1 600 m d&rsquo;altitude), \u00e0 El Pobo, sur l&rsquo;ancienne route entre Allepuz et Villarroya de los Pinares, sur le tron\u00e7on de Fortanete \u00e0 La Iglesuela del Cid (Partida de la Nava et Loma del Pinar) et sur le col de Cabrillas, entre La Iglesuela del Cid et Portell de Morella (Castell\u00f3n).<\/p>\n<p>Malgr\u00e9 la distance qui s\u00e9pare les tron\u00e7ons de la route Teruel &#8211; Morella dot\u00e9s de pyl\u00f4nes (plus de 97 km entre Corbal\u00e1n et Portell de Morella), leurs caract\u00e9ristiques sont similaires. Ils ont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une base de 60 cm de haut et 86 cm de diam\u00e8tre, un puits de 1,50 m de haut et 76 cm de diam\u00e8tre et un sommet de 40 cm de haut et 83 cm de diam\u00e8tre. L&rsquo;instruction d\u00e9crivait leur aspect et la mani\u00e8re dont ils devaient \u00eatre plac\u00e9s. En gros, il s&rsquo;agissait de poteaux pyramidaux tronqu\u00e9s en b\u00e9ton arm\u00e9, d&rsquo;une hauteur de deux \u00e0 trois m\u00e8tres et d&rsquo;une section carr\u00e9e. Aujourd&rsquo;hui, on trouve des poteaux de ce type dans certains ports importants du r\u00e9seau routier, comme El Escudo et Pajares (Bugos) et San Glorio (Cantabria).   <\/p>\n<p>Dans les ann\u00e9es 1960, des poteaux m\u00e9talliques plus simples ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00eatre install\u00e9s, mais sans qu&rsquo;il y ait de conception commune en termes de taille, de couleur ou d&rsquo;agencement.<\/p>\n<p>Entre 2007 et 2011, une commission technique a travaill\u00e9 \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9laboration de recommandations pour le balisage, bien que le vide r\u00e9glementaire subsiste. Dans ces recommandations, un chapitre est consacr\u00e9 aux balises pour la viabilit\u00e9 hivernale. La balise a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9finie comme un poteau cylindrique avec des bandes r\u00e9tror\u00e9fl\u00e9chissantes horizontales jaunes et rouges.  <\/p>\n<p>Sur de nombreux tron\u00e7ons de routes de montagne, les balises \u00e0 neige sont bien plus que des panneaux indicateurs. Celles-ci sont form\u00e9es par le vent lors des chutes de neige, provoquant l&rsquo;accumulation de neige \u00e0 des endroits de la route o\u00f9 il est impossible de circuler. <\/p>\n<p>Les pyl\u00f4nes de cette route sont l&rsquo;un des plus anciens rep\u00e8res que nous connaissons sur le territoire pour \u00e9viter, entre autres probl\u00e8mes, la perte de la vue sur la route en raison des chutes de neige, mais ils n&rsquo;ont pas emp\u00each\u00e9 l&rsquo;accumulation de neige sur la route. C&rsquo;est pourquoi, au fil des ans, des \u00e9l\u00e9ments ont \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9s pour lutter contre ce probl\u00e8me aux points \u00e9lev\u00e9s, comme dans le cas du col de Cabrillas. <\/p>\n<p>Les \u00e9crans ont traditionnellement \u00e9t\u00e9 la solution pour \u00e9viter la pr\u00e9sence de cong\u00e8res sur les routes. Il s&rsquo;agit d&rsquo;obstacles artificiels, plac\u00e9s \u00e0 une certaine distance de la route, de sorte que l&rsquo;in\u00e9vitable cong\u00e8re se forme sur eux et non sur la route.
