Stage 2

Corbalan - El Pobo

Stone pylons between trenches

The “Camino Viejo de Teruel“, as it is called in old maps, ascends from Corbalán through more than 35 stone pylons. Some of them remain in poor condition, others were restored during the year 2020. The pylons, spaced exactly 50 meters apart, guide us to the Puerto de Cabigordo. The “Collado del Aire” or “Castelfrío” are toponyms that remind us of hard, mountainous places, where in winter it is easy to get lost. In the Casilla de Cedrillas there are also remains of three other stone pylons. The road to El Pobo leads us to the next section: more than 45 stone pylons, separated every 40 meters, head north towards the town, the end of the hiking stage.
